Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico Builders of the American Dream www.hbacnm.com
Who we are The Governmental Affairs division of the HBA of CNM advocates for public policies aimed at ensuring an adequate supply of quality, affordable housing available to all New Mexicans. In doing so, the HBA of CNM is working hard to increase homeownership in New Mexico and promote a healthy, growing state economy.
Vision In a perfect society, all people are able to participate fully in shaping public values and policies. However, not only is it difficult to keep up with all of the policies affecting the homebuilding industry, it is also hard to know who to contact regarding a specific issue at any given time. Through internal collaborative efforts at Government Affairs meetings, networking with industry related advocates and relationship building with public officials; we facilitate communication that aims to address your concerns and our industry’s core issues. The HBA of CNM seeks to find practical ways to navigate the public policy systems in order to advance homebuilding agendas on your behalf.
• Developing a deeper understanding of effective leadership roles in the community; • Developing the capacity to better plan, advocate and communicate strategically with elected officials; • Developing sustainable policies to better enhance the local homebuilding industry. • Build public appreciation for the importance of housing and those who provide it.
